"It is the
Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake
you. Do not fear or be dismayed."
Deuteronomy 31:8.
Fear grips us when
we have a big challenge before us. Fear sometimes is paralyzing. Circumstances
like change, new task, new job or anything as such brings into us great doubt,
which in turn will stop us from doing what God wants us to do.
But, remembering
God's promises and keeping His assurances in the heart of hearts works as fuel
that runs our machine to break into the enemy’s territory and let God fight on our
behalf.
Renewal
of commitment is a must. We need to be committed to trust in Jesus. We need to be
committed to be courageous. We need to be committed to let go of Egypt from our
thinking and put on the new self to follow Jesus into the land of God's
purposes.
Remember what
Moses told his people:
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified
because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will
never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6.
